about me

Welcome to my little corner of the blog word.

I’m a long time blog ponderer recently turned blogger. And I’m stoked about it. It only took me what feels like a 1,000,000  years.

2012 truly felt like the perfect time, or year to enter into the land of the blog. Changes were happening so fast, important decisions were made, and I finally saw my life coming together- in ways both similar, and yet completely different than I ever could have imagined.

On January 18, 2012 I decided to quit grains and legumes cold turkey and began my Paleo journey. This lifestyle choice and change has been nothing but wonderful to me. I’ve never felt better, both on the inside and out. I sleep better, I look and feel better and believe in my choice to follow the Paleo lifestyle. It was definitely the right choice for me.

Fast forward a few months to April. A month in which was a complete whirlwind for me; a month where a lot of sh!t got done. Pardon the profanity. Not only did I finally wrap up my five year University degree from the University of Waterloo, all whilst working full time, but I also found the house of my dreams.

April 9, marked both the day I would write my final exam and the day E (my amazing boyfriend pictured to the left) would look at the house we would eventually end up purchasing. Yeah, I don’t waste any time. I’m an all or nothing kinda gal.

A house that would officially become ours on June 28, 2012.  On this day, my loving boyfriend of 4 1/2 years, E, and I took possession of our first home. A 2 story, colonial inspired home built in 1891. Tonnes character, a great mature lot and a great detached shop. And its all ours. It wasn’t easy, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but we overcame the obstacles we were  faced with and laughed and cried a lot. But in the end, we got it and we couldn’t be happier.

And so, at the suggestions and support of friends I took the plunge and began Linds Eats! Here you will find my recipes (some new, some old), my life stories, and my endless DIY projects and house rambles.

Thanks for stopping in!
